It's almost 10 pm and it's still around 26 degrees (Celsius) in Las Vegas. It looks like we'll be leaving the hot days and nights behind tomorrow.
Today we went to the Premium Outlet Centre North (yes, there is another one at the southern end of the strip). It consists of 150 stores. Most shopping malls are open here until 10 or 11 each night for those who don't like gambling or who win. Hard to tell most of the time here whether it's night or day. Anyway, it has been fun!
We left the outlet centre and headed back to the hotel to get ready for a pre-dinner drink and early dinner. We went to the Paris (this is the place I saw Barry Manilow a few years ago, but there's not trace of him there now, he's been replaced by the Jersey Boys). We found a great little bar called the Napoleon where we sat and drank french Champagne and listened to a Karaoke type singer who seemed to be able to decimate any song he chose to sing. Lucky the Champagne was good or all would have been lost. Apparently they have dueling pianos there at night which is much more entertaining I believe than the karaoke guy.
We had dinner at the Onda Ristorante at the Mirage where the show is playing. Great food and as is mostly the case, the service was impeccable (because they want the biggest tip they can possibly get).
We saw the Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil, for me, it was as good as the first, but the seats were better this time. Ian also loved it and I even offered to try and book into the 9:30 show, but he declined. Unfortunately the Revolution Bar where Annie and I went after the show (a bar that plays only Beatles music) has changed somewhat. It was very crowded and just not the same so we decided to hit the souvenir shop for some much needed T-shirts and return to the hotel.
Tomorrow we head for Canada around 2:15 ad arrive there around 6:30 PM I think. Anyway, this time tomorrow we'll be in Canada and will start reintroducing some culture into our lives. I do enjoy a dose of Vegas though, with all it's sleaze, glitz and in your face attitude, it's a fun place to visit.
